DLG appoints new Group COO

Group COO of the DLG Group, Niels Søren Rasmussen, has decided to resign from his position for personal reasons. Jesper Pagh becomes the new Group COO and will at the same time join the Executive Board.

Niels Søren Rasmussen joined the DLG Group in 2004, where he has since held a number of senior positions. From 2013 to 2018 he was the CEO of GASA Group A/S where he headed a successful profit development, and in 2018 he became Group COO and member of the Executive Board of DLG. Most recently, he has spearheaded the transformation of DLG's Danish agribusiness.

Group CEO Kristian Hundebøll says:

"It is unfortunate that we have to say goodbye to Niels Søren, but I respect his decision. He has been a well-liked colleague for many years, and I would like to thank him for a good working relationship. During his time in the group, he has delivered a solid effort and great results. I wish Niels Søren all the best for the future.”

 Niels Søren Rasmussen says:

“I have had some exciting years in DLG, but now the time has come for me to do something different in my professional life. I do not know yet what it will be, and I will therefore take my time to consider the next step. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to work with skilled colleagues on the development of our agribusiness. With the transformation in recent years, we have created a solid foundation for the Danish business, which I now safely leave in other hands.”

Jesper Pagh appointed as new Group COO

Executive Vice President Jesper Pagh is appointed as new Group COO and will at the same time join DLG's Executive Board. He joined DLG in 2004 and has since had several different areas of responsibility in the group. In 2013, he was appointed Group Vice President with responsibility for the group's activities within feed and animal nutrition, and since 2019 he has been Executive Vice President as well as commercially responsible in Denmark.

In recent years, Jesper Pagh has also been deeply involved in DLG's work to create sustainable solutions for customers and owners in agriculture. Among other things, he spearheaded the project when DLG became the first agricultural company in Europe to start climate-declaring its compound feed.

“Jesper possesses a high level of professional competence and has a very good commercial understanding of our customers and their needs. He is known in the group as a skilled and visionary leader with a strategic vision who manages to collaborate and create results across business areas and national borders. Jesper also has a broad-based international network, not least from his many years as a member of the Praesidium of the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation, FEFAC. I have no doubt that Jesper is the right person for the job, and therefore I am glad that he has agreed to take on the task,” says Kristian Hundebøll.

 Jesper Pagh says:

“I look forward to working with colleagues from across the group and to continuing to expand DLG's strong position as one of Europe's leading agricultural and energy companies, including leading the implementation of the sustainability plan we have just announced. I look forward to putting action behind the words through a close collaboration with both customers, colleagues and external partners,” says Jesper Pagh.

Jesper Pagh holds a MSc in Agronomy/Animal Biology from the University of Copenhagen - LIFE as well as the General Management Program from Harvard Business School. He is 44 years old and married to Mette, with whom he has two sons named Herman and Carl.
