DLG appoints Peter Skov Madsen as Head of Agribusiness in Denmark

As Group Executive Vice President, Peter Skov Madsen will be responsible for DLG's Danish agribusiness.
DLG has appointed one of the farming industry's most experienced managers, Peter Skov Madsen, as the new Group Executive Vice President for DLG's Agribusiness in Denmark.

Peter Skov Madsen has in-depth knowledge of the farming sector and DLG and is coming from a position as Managing Director of SPF Denmark, where he spent the last 17 years in senior management. Prior to this he was employed with DLG for a number of years, including three years as Retail Manager at DLG Himmerland from 1996-1999.

"The appointment of Peter Skov Madsen is intended to strengthen business in farming supplies in Denmark and we are fortunate to have found someone with such an extremely competitive profile who is deeply familiar with both agriculture and DLG. At the same time, he has very strong management abilities and through his 17 years as Manager of SPF he has shown that he can create results," says COO Ole Christensen.

Peter Skov Madsen welcomes the new challenges at DLG.

"The farming sector has gone through many challenges over the past few years, so companies serving this industry must develop accordingly to help farmers achieve the best results possible. DLG's Danish agribusiness activities play a considerable role in serving Denmark's farmers, and I am happy to once again be part of the team,” says Peter Skov Madsen.

Peter Skov Madsen graduated from Grindsted Gymnasium and has a Master's in Agriculture from the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University. He is married with four children and lives in Vejen, Denmark.

Peter Skov Madsen will begin working at DLG on 1 November 2016 at Axelborg, Copenhagen.
