Christina Nielsen will be the new Group CFO of the DLG Group

On 1 October, 38-year-old Christina Nielsen will return to the DLG Group, where she will join as Group CFO and become part of the Executive Board together with Group CEO Kristian Hundebøll and Group COO Jesper Pagh.

It is a well-known face that will in future be in charge of the DLG Group's finance function. Christina Nielsen, who from 2015 to 2020 was Executive Vice President of Finance and Accounting at DLG and played a key role in the financial strengthening of the DLG Group, will take over as Group CFO on 1 October.

“It is a great pleasure for me to be able to welcome Christina back to the DLG Group, and I am very much looking forward to our collaboration. She is a skilled leader who has already shown our board, board of representatives and colleagues that she not only has a very strong professional foundation, but also understands the group and our DNA as a cooperative,”says CEO Kristian Hundebøll and elaborates:

"We are on the threshold of a new strategy process, where Christina will naturally play an important role in close cooperation with her colleagues in the team and the CFOs of the subsidiaries when we set the direction for the coming years. Here she really gets the opportunity to bring her well-developed skills in strategy, leadership and development into play.”

“A fantastic opportunity”

Christina Nielsen is a state-authorized accountant and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration and Auditing from Copenhagen Business School. She joined the DLG Group in 2015 from a position as Senior Manager at Deloitte, where she had collaborated with DLG for more than 10 years and through this had gained in-depth knowledge of the group.

As Executive Vice President, Christina Nielsen helped to professionalize the DLG Group's finance and accounting function, where she, among other things, helped to uniformize the various financial processes across companies and countries in the DLG Group. Over the years, she has thus built up a broad-based network throughout the group and demonstrated strong results.

"It is a fantastic opportunity I have been given, and I am very much looking forward to returning to DLG and embarking on the tasks that lie ahead with, among other things, new strategy and the implementation of the group's sustainability plan. DLG is an attractive workplace with high ceilings and a will to change, and I look forward to working with my talented colleagues in our joint efforts to create growth and value for the benefit of DLG's owners,” says Christina Nielsen.

Privately Christina lives with her bonus child, her husband and their two children, where she is currently on maternity leave with the youngest.

Christina Nielsen takes over after acting CFO Lars Sørensen, who took office in February. Lars Sørensen was CFO of DLG from 2012 to 2019, after which he continued in a role where he supported the Executive Board with business development and strategic projects.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lars Sørensen for his efforts. We are incredibly privileged to be able to temporarily draw on Lars ’many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the DLG Group,” says Kristian Hundebøll.
