Ida Steensen will thus be at the forefront of HaGe's feed division, which covers the entire value chain from purchasing and product development to production and sales. Together with her team, she will strengthen HaGe's position in the feed market and ensure close cooperation between HaGe and DLG in the feed area.
Henrik Madsen, CEO of HaGe, looks forward to the collaboration with Ida Steensen:
“During the seven years she has been employed in the DLG Group, Ida has proven that she is incredibly skilled within her field. She has a very high level of knowledge in animal nutrition, but also possesses a well-developed business understanding and is a very skilled and well-liked leader. This gives Ida the best conditions for developing and optimizing HaGe's feed business in close collaboration with her new colleagues. I look forward to welcoming her to HaGe,” says Henrik Madsen.
Ida Steensen has a Cand. Scient in Animal Science from the University of Copenhagen. In 2015, she was employed in DLG's department for livestock nutrition, where she optimized feed recipes for the factories, until she in 2016 became organic coordinator. Here she helped to develop the market-leading position DLG currently has on organic feed and was at the same time project manager on the development of the Feed Portal.
In 2019, she was appointed Head of Formulation and in 2020 Senior Head of Cattle Feed and Deputy Head of Animal Expertise. In that role, she as head of her team was responsible for developing globally leading and sustainable feed solutions for agriculture, and she has been the driving force in a number of significant projects, such as climate declaration of feed.
“It is a big, but also incredibly exciting challenge, which I am very much looking forward to getting started with. It is a role where I can draw on my experience from DLG and get the opportunity to get to know a completely new organization and a new market, while still maintaining a close collaboration with my Danish colleagues. A lot of things are happening in within this field right now, where precision feeding and sustainability are in focus, and I look forward to working with my new team to develop the best feed solutions for the German market. It is a task I approach humbly, but enthusiastically,” says Ida Steensen.
Ida lives privately in Vejle, where she moved to in connection with the move of the DLG Group head office from Axelborg in Copenhagen to Aksen in Fredericia. In addition to work, Ida rides competitions on her two horses.
Ida Steensen will take up her new role on 1 March. During the first month, she will get a thorough introduction to the German business and at the same time ensure a thorough transfer of the tasks in Denmark. Her current position will be filled as soon as possible.
