DLG Group moves its headquarters in Denmark from Copenhagen to Fredericia

Denmark's largest agribusiness company, DLG Group, reorganizes and plans to build a brand new regional and group headquarters in Fredericia, Denmark, with 300 employees by 2020. With the move DLG combines a number of company functions in Denmark and will be located more centrally in relation to Danish customers and the German market.

DLG plans to combine a number of company functions in a new headquarters, located in Fredericia, Denmark. By 2020, Denmark's largest agribusiness company will move its head office from Axelborg in the centre of Copenhagen to a more central location in Denmark, closer to customers and owners within Danish agriculture.

The decision follows DLG's Strategy 2021 to consolidate the Group and support the company's future growth in the agricultural sector, where the trend is fewer but larger customers. With the reorganization, sales, logistics, operations, trade and support functions will be consolidated in Fredericia. The relocation will affect approx. 200 employees in central Copenhagen and approx. 100 employees from parts of DLG's three business areas in South Jutland, East Jutland and on Funen, respectively, as well as DLG's Customer Center and its subsidiaries Vitfoss/Vilofoss.

"Both internally in DLG's organization and among our owners, we have long wanted the business to be consolidated closer to our customers in agriculture. We have recently done so with an expansion and merger in Bårse, South Zealand, and the decision to set up a new headquarters in Fredericia is a natural next step that will create a stronger business. Here approx. 300 skilled employees will be collaborating across the entire organization - for the benefit of customers," says CEO of DLG, Kristian Hundebøll.

He emphasizes Fredericia’s attractive geographical location in relation to DLG's international activities. "The location of the new headquarters in Fredericia will increase the integration within the Danish agribusiness organization and between DLG in Denmark and our North German subsidiaries, HaGe and Team. We consider it a clear advantage to reduce the geographical distance between the different parts of the DLG Group," says Kristian Hundebøll.

DLG's new headquarters will be built on a plot near the E45 freeway and near the Lillebælt Strait Bridge, in an where other major companies are already located. Construction will start in 2018 and will be completed by the beginning of 2020. As early as 1H 2018, several departments from the Danish agribusiness business
will move into temporary premises in Fredericia.
