DLG pays EUR 14,45 million to their Danish owners

DLG has paid out a dividend of EUR 14,45 million and has thereby distributed EUR 74 million over the last five years to the Danish farmers.
”We will pay out a dividen of EUR 14,4 million to our owners this year, which corresponds to a return on investment of 9 % of the cooperative capital. In the last five years, we have distributed EUR 74 million to the Danish farmers, which shows DLG’s robustness with solid underlying companies and a strategy that works,” says Niels Dengsø Jensen, chairman of DLG.

Strong foreign earnings
”With our strategy, Leading the Way 2021, we have expanded DLG’s position as one of Europe’s leading agricultural companies. The strategy has contributed to making the DLG group more solid, enabled investments in our core business and lowered our costs considerably. The impressive member declaration shows that our targeted effort during the last few years has been successful,” says Niels Dengsø Jensen and continues:

“Our international companies contribute to the majority of the group’s earnings, and especially our large energy business has delivered yet another great result this year. This shows that our strategy of combining the business of the strong Danish market with strategic investments internationally is the right one. While developing our international business we continue the investments in Denmark. Most recently, the Board of Directors has approved a three-digit investment in a new Vilofoss vitamin and mineral plant in Brædstrup, Denmark. Furthermore, we set a new strategic direction for DLG Denmark in January to ensure an even better customer experience in the future”.

Value through solutions

“The loyalty of our owners depends on our ability to offer them the best products and solutions at all times. Therefore, we must continue to innovate and invest in our business and right now we are working on sustainable solutions giving benefit to our owners, the farming industry and the world around us. An example is that as the first company in Europe we have started to climate declare our feed, which makes it easier for the farmers to document their climate effort”, says Niels Dengsø Jensen.
