Bent Nissen is the new CEO of HaGe

Bent Nissen holds a degree in business administration as well as a Graduate Diploma in accounting and financial management. He started as a trainee in DLG's seed department in 1990, and during his 32 years in the group he has delivered impressive results in the field of crop cultivation, where he quickly advanced to Deputy Director and later became Vice President. In 2017, he was appointed Executive Vice President with responsibility for the crop cultivation activities in the Group's, ie. seeds, plant protection products, fertilizers and plant breeding.

In recent years, he has divided his time between the DLG Group's head office in Denmark and HaGe’s ditto in Kiel, Germany. Here he has been at the forefront of a transformation of the plant breeding area in HaGe, which has brought the company to a position as one of Germany's leading companies within crop cultivation.

Bent Nissen is chairman of the board of Sejet Planteforædling, Dangødning, Dankalk and Scandagra Polska, as well as a board member of Scandagra Baltikum.

During the time I have been responsible for the crop cultivation area in HaGe I have gained a extensive knowledge of both the company and gotten to know my colleagues very well. Now I look forward to working even closer together with them,” says Bent Nissen. 

Bent Nissen takes over the job as CEO from Henrik Madsen who has decided to leave HaGe for personal reasons. Henrik Madsen has been a member of the Executive Board of HaGe since 2015, since 2019 as CEO.

“I would like to thank Henrik for the cooperation and the results he has created during his time at HaGe, where he, among other things. has helped set in motion a transformation of the business. I understand his decision and wish him all the best for the future,” says Kristian Hundebøll.

Merger with Team

At a general meeting on 29 June 2022, it was decided that HaGe will be merged with the DLG Group's other large German subsidiary, Team, and thus become part of the Team group. The merger is expected to officially take effect in early September.
