Effective 1 November, Morten Riber Pryds will join DLG Group from Arla Foods to assume the role of Group CFO. He brings extensive experience across all finance disciplines - from finance operations to driving transformation - and has a proven track record of building global finance teams and a strong performance management culture. Morten Riber Pryds also brings strong expertise within performance management and finance business partnering, all of which are critical components for the transformation and the new operating model in the DLG Group.
Having worked for Arla Foods since 2011, Morten Riber Pryds has held several senior leadership roles in the European dairy cooperative. He is currently serving as Head of Performance Management, a central leadership role in the organization reporting to the CFO and working closely with the management on both the long-term financial outlook and strategy, the continuing transformation programme and the company-wide investment process while also navigating the short-term delivery of financial results.
“I am very happy to welcome Morten Riber Pryds as our new CFO. He is an experienced finance professional and a great leader, who is not only highly experienced in driving transformation, but also knows first-hand how to build a strong finance operation and culture. On top of that, he has a deep understanding of the cooperative structure and knows what drives value for our owners. That makes him a valuable addition to my executive leadership team and a great fit for the journey we have ahead of us in DLG Group. I look forward to welcoming him,” says Group CEO Peter Giørtz-Carlsen.
Morten Riber Pryds will join DLG Group’s Executive Committee. In his new role, he will work with his team on building a strengthened global Finance, Legal & M&A team that goes beyond traditional reporting to deliver forward-looking insights and thereby support business growth.
"There is a real sense of momentum around the journey DLG Group is on right now. Joining a company that is undergoing such a significant transformation and having the opportunity to be part of shaping its future direction is a rare and exciting challenge that I find very motivating. Combined with DLG’s strong culture and cooperative ownership, it feels like the perfect match. I look forward to collaborating with Peter, my new colleagues and the owners on moving the business forward and creating value for the owners,” says Morten Riber Pryds.
Morten Riber Pryds takes over from Christina Nielsen, who has worked in DLG Group for more than nine years and has been the Group CFO since 2021. During her years in DLG Group, Christina Nielsen has played an important role in the development of the Group, most recently she has been an integral part of the launch of the transformation programme, ReGen. In mid-September she will step down from the role to take on a new role closer to her home and family in the Capital Region of Denmark. Her new role will be announced shortly.
“I would like to thank Christina for the big contribution to DLG over the years and especially for the support she has provided during my first six months. Her work ethic, deep knowledge of DLG and the valuable sparring she offered has been a great support to my onboarding, and I would also like to thank Christina for her support in making a successful launch of ReGen. I fully respect and understand her decision to take on a new role that enables her to be closer to her family, and I wish her all the best in her new job,” says Group CEO Peter Giørtz-Carlsen.
