She will take over the role as Vice President for Supply Chain from Bøje Kjær, who in December 2023 was appointed Executive Vice President with responsibility of DLG’s business I Denmark

When she takes up her position on 1 March, Ida Steensen will report to Bøje Kjær, and she will also join the Danish management team.

"It is always a pleasure to be able to develop our talents and give them new opportunities in the DLG Group. Therefore, I am very pleased that Ida has accepted the job as Vice President of Supply Chain in DLG. She has delivered great results every time she has been given a new task and greater challenges. At the same time, she is a very skilled leader who sets direction and creates commitment. Ida comes into her new role with a huge knowledge of the business, which combined with her commercial experience will be crucial in her new position where she will be responsible for Denmark's largest setup of feed production. I look forward welcoming Ida and it satisfies me that she will still be a part of the DLG Group," says Bøje Kjær.

Solid knowledge of the organization

Ida Steensen holds a Cand. Scient in Animal Science from the University of Copenhagen. In 2015, she was employed in DLG's department for livestock nutrition, where she optimized feed recipes for the factories, until she in 2016 became organic coordinator. In 2019, she was appointed Head of Formulation and in 2020 Senior Head of Cattle Feed and Deputy Head of Animal Expertise.

On March 1, 2022, she took up the position as Director of the feed division in Team Agrar, where she has worked purposefully to optimize and align feed production on the German market to match standards and processes that DLG complies with across borders.

"I have great respect for the Supply area, where my most important task together with the organization will be to build on the solid foundation, we already have in DLG. In the years I have been in the Group, I have seen across national borders how important it is that we constantly develop our ability to serve customers with quality products in a well-functioning and cost-effective setup. I also see the green transition of our business as an extremely exciting task. In my new role, I look forward to working on optimizing our processes further for the benefit of our customers and owners, and it is a challenge I look forward taking care of with my talented colleagues," says Ida Steensen

In Team Agrar, Ida's tasks will be handed over to Claus-Peter Wölpern, who will run the German feed business going forward. Claus-Peter was previously responsible for the sales organization through three regional managers, who will now report directly to Bent Nissen, CEO of Team Agrar.

Ida Steensen will now begin passing over her German area of responsibility before she has her first day in her new position on 1 March.
