Peter Annas comes from Lantmännen, where he has held a number of leadership roles within the group for almost 30 years - most recently as CEO of Lantmännen Maskin since 2023. He joins Svenska Foder at a time when the company, alongside the rest of DLG Group, is undergoing a business transformation through the ReGen programme, aimed at creating greater value for farmers.
Peter Kjær Jensen, EVP of the Agriculture Business Group at DLG, is very pleased to have found the right person to continue developing Svenska Foder following Carsten Klausen’s departure.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Carsten for 20 years of outstanding contributions, during which he has helped build Svenska Foder into the strong company it is today. We are well positioned for the future, with a solid and competitive agricultural business in Sweden. As DLG Group moves forward with its ReGen transformation, I am pleased that Peter Annas will spearhead this important journey for our Swedish business. With his extensive experience, strong leadership, and deep understanding of Swedish agriculture, he is very well placed to continue developing Svenska Foder in the years to come.”
Peter Annas has always been committed to Swedish agriculture and is driven by a desire to create value for customers and contribute to competitive and sustainable food production.
“I am very pleased and proud to have the opportunity to take over as CEO of Svenska Foder. It is a strong company with a clear position in the Swedish agricultural sector, and I look forward to continuing to develop this business together with the employees. Svenska Foder is a company I have long followed from the sidelines with great interest - with a strong international owner, a family-like culture, and highly knowledgeable staff with a clear customer focus. That is something that really appeals to me.”
After more than 35 years with the DLG Group, including approximately 20 years at Svenska Foder, Carsten Klausen is handing over a company that has undergone extensive development.
“I’ve had the privilege of working at Svenska Foder for many years and am incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. We’ve quadrupled our revenue since 2003, when DLG Group became an owner, and have built a strong market position over the years. It’s our employees who have made this journey possible. I am very proud of the team we have built and will miss the sense of community we share.”
Following his tenure as CEO, Carsten Klausen will continue with the DLG Group as a senior adviser, focusing on business development, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives, while also helping to ensure a smooth transition at Svenska Foder.
