DLG is strengthening its position in Germany taking over Roth Agrarhandel
DLG Group acquires the last 37% of the shares in the privately owned Roth Agrarhandel GmbH. The strategic acquisition makes DLG market leader in plant production in the eastern part of Germany
HaGe, the German subsidiary of DLG, now acquires the last 37% of the shares in Roth Agrarhandel - one of the leading agribusiness companies in the eastern Germany. The family owned Roth Agrarhandel is a strong business with a market share of 30% in Thüringen, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt and Hessen.
By the acquisition of the last 37% of the shares DLG Group is going to realise several benefits at the German market together with the other DLG based agribusiness activities in Germany as HaGe, BSL and HaBeMa.
"By the acquisition of the last 37 % of the shares in Roth Agrarhandel HaGe is going to be the market leader in plant production in the eastern part of Germany. It is properly linked to the growth strategy of the DLG Group being the market leader in agribusiness in Germany," says Ole Christensen, COO, responsible for the agribusiness activities in the DLG Group.
"Consolidation is the agenda at the German market at the moment, and our acquisition of the rest of the shares in Roth takes the DLG Group to an extremely interesting position ready for future growth," says Ole Christensen.
