DLG pays EUR 14 mln to owners

DLG declares dividend payouts of EUR 14 mln after solid accounts
DLG has paid over EUR 134 mln to cooperative shareholders over the past 20 years.

Denmark’s largest and leading agricultural supplier, DLG, pays DKK 105 million to cooperative shareholders after a satisfactory 2015, where the company delivered a solid performance in a competitive market with falling margins.

DLG has thus paid over EUR 134 mln to its owners, more than half of which has been since 2010.

“As the leading agricultural supplier in Denmark we are pleased to be able to declare profits at the highest possible level – especially in a time where agriculture needs all the support we can give,” says Niels Dengsø Jensen, Chairman of DLG.

“It is rationalisations and streamlining costs in DLG that have allowed us to make money despite the falling margins in a competitive agribusiness market. This shows that the strategy we have followed since 2013 of going back to the core of DLG – focusing on Agribusiness, Premix & Nutrition as well as Service & Energy – is the right one,” says Niels Dengsø Jensen.

With a distribution of dividends of EUR 14 mln, DLG has paid over EUR 134 mln over the past 20 years to Danish farmers. Well over half of the payments – EUR 78 mln – have been paid since 2010.
